try debian. its kind of like the most "default" distro. ubuntu is a little noobish but there is nothing wrong with that if it works.
when i use linux which i dont often because i primarily use wireless and it is a pain to set up in linux but when i do i use ubuntu with simdock.

Hrm, well I guess your getting a horizontal scrollbar since i designed the layout in 1366x768 which is wider than your width so yeah... :p
I was trying to message you, but I couldn't figure out how. I was wondering if you could convert your "pages whispering on my fingertips" layout into a livejournal layout please? And if it's not too much trouble, into a myspace layout as well? I love this layout and would love to use it.

yes, the createblog preview is not updated and this layout isnt good for larger resolutions. I designed it around a 1024x768 reso. I didnt want the background to be misaligned :]
